my photos here tell a story about life, the picture of the flowers and plants represent life as beauty. how beautiful like can look, and how delicate i can be. and the picture of a man sitting at a table drawing blood represents how different life can be also. how quickly life can turn from beautiful to ugly, with all the health issues thgat occur in the world. i really liked this project, and i think i did a pretty good job on it. im happy with my results.

aritist critique.
I think this picture is plain but expresses a lot. The Photographer is Harry Callahan, I like the lighting in this photo. The color is like a gray scale. The sky is kind of a smokey white, and the horizon of the water is like a different shade of gray, and the water looks like a darker gray. And the people in the photo create sort of a balance, there kind of scattered all over the place. Personally this wouldn't be my kind picture, but I thought it was interesting.

cd cover.

what we have here is the cd project where we had to shoot 3 black and white images. i chose to shoot nicole hoffman again. they way i chose to go with my cd cover is the cool type, laid back and care free. on the cover shot, its nicole over by the grand theater of the school. her hair is messy and shes's acting crazy with her tounge sticking out. the light source it the sun, it was an outside shot. and the second image is nicole standing by the grand theater once again with sunglasses on. lightsource; outdoor lighting. the back cover of the cd is nicole standing by the photography room. she's somewhat in the shade. it's not the center shot type. i wanted her more off towards the side. and it all her songs listed on the back. i really liked this project, because it got to show more of our creative side.

photography.

Here i took a picture of Nicole Hoffman for our first assignment in photography 1 for mrs.miles. In this shot it was an 8x10' portrait using studio lighting. The vision i had for my shot was to just be a normal up-close kind of natural shot, she had no make up on, her hair was just let down and kind of messy, with a spaghetti strap shirt on. I like how my picture turned out because of the intensity of her eyes. And how her hair creates some what of a shadow on her face.
